Dark times have fallen upon Scotland. King David II is a prisoner of England. Angus McKenna, revered chief of Clan MacDougall, and his son-in-law Duncan McEwan sit in a dungeon in Edinburgh, accused of crimes against their king and country. Their wives are missing. Can devotion, honor and fealty light a candle in the darkness?Invoking the Bond of the Seven Clans, Nial McKee, son-in-law to Angus McKenna sets out to discover the truth behind the charges. While he enlists the help of his good friends Caelen McDunnah and Rowan Graham, his lovely wife Bree appeals to friends of her own for a much different kind of assistance. But time is running out for Angus and Duncan. Friendship and love of family alone might not be enough to save McKenna’s Honor.

ABOUT THE AUTHORSuzan lives in the Midwest with her verra handsome carpenter husband and the last of their four children: a 15 year old, 6'3", built-like-a-line-backer son. They currently accept monetary donations to offset the cost of feeding him and keeping him in shoes. She also has three perfect grandchildren.Suzan has no pets, save for the aforementioned son and husband. Living where they do, she figures the domesticated deer who believe her gardens are planted strictly for their enjoyment is plenty. Though, if she lived on ten or more wooded acres she would have a Redbone Coonhound that she would name Rufus. She'd also like to be a size 12 again, but doesn't foresee either of those things happening at anytime in the near future."Some say my writing is an obsession. I prefer to think of it as a passion."

Another great read from Suzane Tisdale. I have read her previous three books in The Clan MacDougall series, and had this pre-ordered and ready for my kindle on its release. Although the book has only been available for a very short time I have already finished it, I couldn't put it down in fact, and thoroughly enjoyed it. A great book based yet again in the Highlands with the waring Clans fighting to keep their own King on the throne, some unexpected twists and turns to the storyline. Great attention to detail, and so nice to see that a lot of the characters from previous books are interwoven and feature strongly in this one. I await the next in this Series, and I have a feeling I perhaps know which way the story might follow!

Really enjoyed this book. As with all the books in this series, you just know it's going to be a happy ending, which suits me fine, but to get to the ending is an enjoyable read.
